Watchers

Finally finished penciling my graphic novel --clocking in with a final page count of 208!

And so now I gotta ink all that shit, but to me, the "hard" part is done, and I'm pretty glad to have reached this little milestone.

Follow me on Twitter (@iammattchic) or on the Night Light Comics website (nightlightcomics.com) for more updates on that since I'm not posting as much work-in-progress stuff here as I was planning on. Personally, Twitter is my favorite out of the social networking sites right now, so that's where I've been putting my best material (art and jokes/shitty jokes).

And lastly, for anyone in the Twin Cities area --I'll be at SPRINGCON this weekend so stop by if yer gonna be there. SPRINGCON and FALLCON are two of my favorites --MN has a great indy comics scene and those cons are always a blast.

Even though these are mostly small files, feel free to 'download' them, but just drop my name or whatever if you post it somewhere else. Thanks.

Hey man thanks for the add! I really dig your art and have been following along with the 365 marvel characters. I am a huge Chris Bachalo fan not sure if your a fan or not but I kind of get that vibe when I check out your work. It is a good thing I think. It inspired me to do some of my own but not for that many days whew! Are you going to be at the next drink and draw?

Yeah, I'm a huge Bachalo fan too --so thanks for the comparison. Dude's definitely in my top five fav comic artists.

I'm actually gonna be at Twin Cities Zinefest [link] during this month's Drink & Draw, so that sucks I'll miss it. Long as there's one in October tho, I'll be there. Thanks.

No problem man. I also get a sense of Skottie Young he is doing daily sketches as well over at his site skottieyoung.com. Def in my top 5 as well.

Zinefest looks cool is might have to check that out next year. Do you ever check out other cons like C2E2or Wizardwold Chicago? If yes do you go as spectator or do you get a table? I am an aspiring comic artist and have a book I am working on. Hoping to get it done by the time C2E2 rolls around next march and hoping to get a table to hock it to the public.

Well sorry to hear you won't be at this weeks D&D but maybe I can meet you at the next one. I have only lived here in the Milwaukee area about 3 years so just trying to branch out and network and DD is def what I am looking for. Anyone else there I should put on my radar? Alright man take it easy and good chatting with you!

I used to do WWChicago almost every year, but it's since fallen victim to C2E2 --which I missed last year but WILL be at this year. Basically all the publishers packed up and moved to C2E2, and all that was left were wresters and 'movie stars' along with the retailers and Artist Alley.

I was there last in 2010 and still did alright, but it's definitely not what it used to be (says Me). The table's can pricey too if yer just sort of in the beginning stages of whatever. Anyways, we can talk more and D&D. Talk to Tim Demeter too, he'll probably have some pointers.
